.#Handbag Monday's guest is author Ashley Ladd. Wanna take a peek in her bag? #MFRWorg #PlottingPrincesses

Imagine how thrilled I was when Ashley Ladd answered my plea for a blogging spot and I was only too happy to feature her on

*  #Handbag Monday  *

Let's check her out: Ashley Ladd is a disabled Air Force vet, a proud mama, a cat lover, Trekkie, and carries a purse that’s much too heavy. She writes erotic romance in its many forms. She’s an Ohio girl transplanted into a Florida world.

Ashley, what did you bring us?

This handbag holds a big part of my world, and thus, is my constant companion. The only time I don’t keep it with me is if I go out for a walk or a swim. Then I put my keys and my wallet in a fanny pack and my phone in my pocket.

I found this purse at Bealls for quite a steal and it’s been a really good satchel. Although I love pretty handbags, I can’t afford to spend much money on them. I have four children still at home and feel funny spending money on myself. Most of my earnings gets spent on them. In fact, I have to complete back to school shopping and spring for a couple haircuts this week.

I get teased a lot about my purses in general and this one is no exception. My handbags tend to get very heavy. That’s even after I stopped carrying my medicine and makeup in my purse. And that’s also with my youngest daughter removing all the coins a couple times a month.

So what’s in my handbag? My wallet, a separate credit card holder, phone, keys, brush, hearing aid batteries and holder, ear buds, and too many bills and medical appointment notices from the VA to mention.

What a great - all purpose - bag. It looks so comfortable. I love the color too!

Hi, Susan! I agree a great color and general all purpose covers a good description.

Great bag!
Would you believe I don't carry one at all? I have one that sits on the floorboard of my car where my DL and CCs are, but I never take it in anywhere! LOL

Hi, D'Ann and whoa! No bag? I have to have one. One time at National, a girl sat in front of me with the niftiest backpack. I passed a note, just like one would in school. And yes, bought one too. lol

I love that handbag. I'm a bag afcionado myself. My bags tend to be too heavy for me but I still carry them. I love the premise of your new book, Ashley. Good luck with it.

Hi, Cara! You have a point about bags can be too heavy. A heavy bag can weigh on your shoulder and back. That's why it is important to carry the right one for you. Hugs!

I am a big purse girl. I stuff everything in it, just in case. I loved the color too. :)

Susan - The bag is very comfortable and it'll be the perfect color for autumn. I got a really good deal on it too. Ashley

D'Ann - Around here (I live in a big metropolis), we're told not to leave our purses in our car. If I do, I cover it with a towel or something. I usually use a fanny pack and leave my purse at home if I'm planning to exercise or do something where I don't want to carry my purse.

Cara - This bag is pretty heavy and sometimes hurts my shoulder. But then that happens with all my purses.

Thank you for your kind words about my book.

Melissa - Thanks. My daughter says I put too much stuff in my purse even though I've tried to scale back. And I like the color too.
