*Handbag Monday*
This adorable clutch is covered in petit point, a kind of tiny needlepoint, and measures 9 1/2 in by 4. The inside is covered in a dark salmon with a flat pocket on one side and a gathered pocket on the other. For more information on petit point versus needlepoint, go to: stitch
Red is the dominate color; however, the colorful flowers of red, pink, yellow, ivory and cornflower blue stands out nicely. The case is silver metal and the catch is quite unusual. There is no identifying mark.
This bag looked superdooper with the black wool crepe dress I wore for New Year's this year.
Have you ever carried a needlepoint handbag?
Vicki Batman obsesses over handbags and loves a great bargain. Her stories regularly feature them too. See for yourself in her romantic comedy mystery, Temporarily Employed, at: Amazon

Hi Vicki,
Hope you've made it safely home from the holiday trip. I've never carried a needlepoint bag, but I definitely love red purses and red jackets.
I've never carried a needlepoint bag but love looking at the patterns and colors on other peoples.
Hi, Sylvia! I love red too and I haven't checked on red jackets lately. Hmmmm, an idea for moi?
Hi, Karla! There are great patterns and for the most part, they are handmade which is very nice. Thanks for posting.
I wish I had a talent -- and time -- for needlepoint!
