May, as a throw-back to a generation of women who were taught to suffer in silence ... I understand why some women can't get unstuck. Even today, there are cultures where women are property.

Clusters of culture, even in the US find hundreds of thousands of women live in abusive relationships because they think they have no choice.

Modern girls? Designer clothes, good jobs and all the trappings on the outside? Many of them learned from a parent or they were abused. It is difficult for many women to get unstuck.

Kudos on your book. It is a message so many need to hear :)
