#Movie Mom: Addicted to Alfred Hitchcock #films - Rear Window #MFRWorg #RssosSisters #thrillermovie

Movie Mom

I can't remember when I didn't love this movie. Glamorous Grace Kelly (can I have her outfits--please?). Photographer played by Jimmy Stewart. Hilarious aid Thelma Ritter. Doubting cop by Wendell Corey. Scary murderer portrayed by Raymond Burr. A haunting song.
The movie:is a 1954 American mystery thriller film directed by Alfred Hitchcock and based on a short story by  Cornell Woolrich. While a photographer recuperates from a broken leg,  he looks out his window to a small courtyard and becomes obsessed with a man who possibly murdered his wife.

My thoughts: I classify this as a perfect movie. Perfectly cast. Perfectly acted. Moves well. Costuming and set is outstanding. And yes, there is a peek at Alfred Hitchcock--have you ever tried to find him in his movies? He's there. This is a must-see for everyone. The film received four Academy Award nominations.

It does make you wonder, do we really know people?

Do you ever just people watch?

This movie is an "oldie but goodie." Regarding your question, one of my favorite New Jersey-shore-boardwalk-activities is to sit with an ice cream or water ice and watch the folks strolling along the boardwalk.

Hi, Vicki. It's almost 1am and I just got in from work an hour ago. I am using the wee-hours to catch up and as I scrolled through Handbag Monday (comment later) I glanced down and there was one of my fav Hitchcock's films.

And for sure, Thelma Ritter was one of the centuries best comic support stars !!
