The latest craze - #DottoDot #MFRWorg #RssosSisters #coloringbooks #hobbies

Hobbies & Book

So a while back, a newsletter talked about the latest crazy, coloring books. I'd bought postcards for coloring when Handsome and I went to Europe. In a museum gift shop, I found a book filled with pictures of dresses which appealed to me greatly as I was a Clothing and Textiles major in college.

And the postcard idea I liked because they were useful. I would use them to send notes to friends. And so I have.

The newsletter went on to ask what would be the next craze and it mentioned Dot-to-Dot books. I was sold!

I love to embroider and needlepoint (which I show off projects in this blog). While picking up supplies at Joann's and standing in the check-out line, I noticed the bank of craft magazines. The shelves had been straightened and filled with new stock. Low and behold (haven't you always wanted to use that phrase?), I saw a Dot-to-Dot book:

I had to have it!

While perusing the "Welcome" page, I found this information: The 34 incredible dot-to-dot puzzles in this book are a challenge for ever serious solvers. Each one contains a minimum of 1,200 numbered dots.

Fortunately, there are solutions at the back of the book. Have an idea what this one might be?

Looks like a mountain, but I'm betting not. I can't even find number one. LOL

So, tell me, readers--is this a craze you want to embrace?

Lots of people say that coloring on a color sheet or in an activity book is a great stress reliever. Thanks for the psot.

Wow, I used to LOVE dot-to-dot books when I was a kid. Even more than colouring books, because there was the puzzle aspect to it, I guess. The next time I'm in Joann's I'll keep a look-out for one. Oh, who am I kidding - I'll be making a special trip just to buy a dot-to-dot book, LOL!

Hi, Luanna! Now, that's funny. A special trip. I'm sure if Joann's doesn't have, they are on Amazon. In fact, I should check now. Yup, they are there. No excuses. And when you get one and are working on it, let me know how it's going. Hugs!

I do the dot-to-dots with the kids at school but they are easier than this! I'm more interested in the coloring books. I've even found one of sexy guys!

I've gotten hooked on the coloring books, because it's very relaxing to do. Dot-to-Dot? Interesting, but I think that could be frustrating if you couldn't find the next number or accidentally missed or hit a wrong one.

My inner child loves the concept of Dot-to-Dot making its debut for adults. I enjoyed coloring books and dot-to-dots when I was young. Lately I've been coloring again and will definitely check out a dot-to-dot. Hmmm... looking at the page you posted above, the puzzle solver in me thinks it might be an Egyptian Giza pyramid with a sphinx in front of it.

Hi, Melissa! The ones with kids are way easier and now, I know why. It's hard to see the little numbers. With bifocals. LOL

Hi, Ilona! It is frustrating; however, I take a break and come back to the page--voila! Found the missing one.

Hi, Gemma!I'm doing the dot to dot page I posted and it's a bridge. I was clueless when I began. LOL
