Handbag and Book with

Candi Fox

Hi, Candi and welcome to HBW. I can't wait to see the handbag you're sharing.

This bag is a Lock Mini Love Blade Shoulder Bag in Red by Valentino. I came across the bag on Pinterest doing a search for my character Emma from The Killing Chronicle Series. Emma loves high end fashion. She is a former model turned local witch and crime solver.

I fell in love with this bag on first site. In some ways I’m like a faerie or for those of you who have ever paper and dice role played, a kender. If it’s shiny. I need to possess it. This purse has lots of fun sparkle. It’s small. Which I love. I don’t carry purses often. When I do it’s either to put lip stick and a compact in or everything.

Ten years ago, the world as we know it changed. The shift is what it became known as. Overnight, paranormal beings came out of the proverbial closet. Something in reality had shifted. Those who had no idea they were paranormal were awakened to a new reality. Ten years in and Harlowe Lake Kelly, Harley to her friends, is back in her small Oklahoma town, widowed and striking out in a new career, namely, a successful magic agency. Her uncanny abilities at using potions, spells, and other means at solving supernatural crimes, thrust her into a partnership with local law enforcement. Things would be great if it wasn’t for the three sexy, but deadly, men who stand at all corners of her new life. Lucien, the ancient, alluring Vampire who has made it clear he wants more than Harley’s luscious curves. Cowboy, who wants to possess her in every way imaginable, and Aiden. The newcomer who has strict orders from his Vampire boss... but she senses has his own agenda. But in a world where things and beings are never what they seem, life isn’t promised and love comes with many strings. So what’s a girl to do to untangle those strings?

He leaned closer to her using his thumb to wipe the corner of her mouth. “Just a little soup there.” The action was incredibly intimate. Looking into his eyes she felt closer to him than she ever had before.

She really wanted to kiss him. She didn’t have to wait long. Cash leaned in, brushing his lips briefly against hers, before drawing her closer for a deeper kiss.

When they eventually pulled apart the crowd around them started clapping and cheering. Harley blushed to her roots. Okay, that was a little embarrassing. The kiss was totally worth it.

By the time she could look at him again she saw that he found it completely humorous. “It looks like you have a fan club.”

“They were just applauding that amazing lip lock. Who could blame them?”
He seemed to be speechless. That surprised Harley, a great deal. She smiled at him and got up from the bench, disposing of their plates and waiting for him.
Walking hand in hand they started exploring the festival grounds. A few games had been set up. Cash won her a large teddy bear. It was so big in fact that they had to take it back to the truck. He strapped it in the back seat and they started browsing the tents selling jewelry.

Nice bag. Much better than my boring old black leather one. Very interesting idea for a blog.
