.@VickiBatman - a Birthday whoopdedoo! #MFRWorg #Plotting Princesses #RLFblog

Time to light the candles as my birthday is around the corner and I want to share what I gave myself on

*  #Handbag Monday  *

A handbag! Are you surprised? Shouldn't be. lol

As you know, I love handbags and love to find vintage ones, sometimes on eBay, sometimes on ETSY. So when this one came up, I had to have it for the mere price of....

You won't believe this...

$9.99. Yup! Isn't that fantastic for a never carried bag?

Here's the scoop: It's made of a crazy quilt patterned velvet-like fabric in brown tones with a dash of green. The handles are in the short tote style. Has a gold-toned closure. Inside is a large pocket with a snap closure and a small side zipper pouch. And an open pouch--whew! I like stashing needlepoint somewhere and this looks perfect. It looks sorta hippie-ish, don't you think? I believe it will be perfect for winter. Sorta resembles a Kelly bag.

Does a bag like this appeal to you?

Nice Fall colors...what a deal!
Happy Birthday!

It doesn't, but if we all liked the same things, it'd be a boring world!

Hi, Marianne! And that's what I thought, too, fall colors.

Hi, D'Ann! I'm pretty sure you said you like very small, minimal--right? And you are right, we can't all like the same things. I did not care for the big garbage bag looking handbags from a few years back. Thanks for posting, ladies!

The bag looks like you Vicki. Very unique and different. Love it. Have a great birthday.

Hi, Sylvia! It has that Kelly bag style too which I just love, like my turquoise one. Missed you my friend. Hugs.

Hope you're having a fantastic birthday. The bag is gorgeous. Great choice. I'm afraid it looks too big for me though, but very stylish! Now go eat some cake!

Hi, J Q Rose: Surprisingly, it isn't that big. I just don't like big huge bags. But I will be eating cake. giggle.

That bag is perfect for Autumn. Happy Birthday!

Hi, Angela! I agree and soon, shall be carrying it a lot! Hugs and thank you.

I think buying a gift for ourselves is a wonderful way to celebrate our birthday! I'm glad you found one you like. I do think it looks like a fall or winter bag. Certainly the color and texture show that. Have a wonderful day!!

Hi, Melissa! Thank you so much. I can't wait to carry it! And thank you for the birthday wishes. I'm sure I'll have a fun day.

Yes, yes, you bag maven. This one appeals to me for sure. Do you have a bag for all occasions and for all items? I wonder what type of bag you would store your writing notes, or what type of bag you would take on certain types of trips ?? Enjoy :)

Hi, Lani! You aren't late. You allowed me to celebrate on the real date--shush! don't tell. hugs!

Hi, Mindy! My birthday is awesome. I ate 3 birthday donettes for cake as Handsome failed in the cake department--what's new? LOL

Hi, Florence! There are bags for certain seasons, like white and wicker are pretty much over with for this year. I have small ones for little black dresses. More browns, dark greens, pumpkin for fall. I don't really carry anything for writing. I do like to carry one that can hold a small needlepoint project. I have two Kate Spade totes I like to travel with. Thanks for asking. Hugs.
