I love needlepoint and I love handbags. Often, I find a great bag that might just needs a little tweaking. This one had flimsy gold snakey-like handles. Not very substantial in the hand. And it looked very dated.
So on a trip to JoAnn's, I found the clear plastic beaded handle and added it with split rings inserted into the connecting spots on the frame.
Voila! Now, the handbag is more up-to-date and the whole thing just pops with color.
Have you ever tweaked a handbag or an accessory so it really reflects YOU?

I'm trying to figure out the design. Some of the pattern looks like "sea life!"
Love the purse and your creativity! I haven't tweaked a purse but may try it in the future. A great idea.
Hi, Angela! someone else said the same thing. I thought a variation on paisley.
Hi, Jerry! It is so cool what is out there to play with. I do have a handle I made for a cigar box purse. I'll have to feature it. Hugs, ladies.
Vicki, it's so much fun to take a find or something old of ours and do a remake. I love the new handles. And Joann's is such fun. The pattern on the bag does pop more with the clear plastic handles :)
Hi, Florence! Thank you. The gold ones were so dated, especially for the fun flower thing and the bright colors. Hugs!
