The
Party’s Over
Sunday about nine-thirty seemed odd to me. Downton Abbey had just ended its last episode. I was a little sad. Video snippets with cast appeared on Facebook and were shared by many. We all commiserated.
Sometimes, I get hooked into a show and watch and watch no matter what. I become vested in the characters and the what will happen next scenario--hooked.
For example, I religiously watch/watched:
Law & Order
Homicide
Scrubs
Who could forget the good bye episode?
Cheers
Frasier
Upstairs, Downstairs
Masterpiece Theater
Longmire Who remembers the outrage when this program was killed and then great rejoicing when resurrected?
I know many of you feel like I do about tv programs. So share with me now! What are your all-time favorites?

I'm with you on "Law & Order." I love those all day marathons -- especially on a snow or rainy day.
NCIS and Big Bang Theory are mine!
Hi, Angela! I love the marathons, too. Lots of shows do them nowadays and it's fun to rewatch.
Hi, Girlygirlhoosier! I love NCIS and Big Bang Theory. I don't often get to indulge as much as I'd like. You know, recording shows can be a bag/very good thing.
I'm a lover of NCIS too, who isn't!!! I'll be sad when it goes off. I've become hooked on a more recent TV show, Colony. Two other TV series that I really liked was Quantico and 100, but stopped watching them because the music overpowered the dialog - so what's the point of watch it! Have any of you had that problem?
I loved Downton Abbey! My faves still on are: NCIS, Nashville, Blue Bloods (getting too much Danny the cowboy though these days), Grey's Anatomy, Better Call Saul and The Good Wife (GW is ending in May).
LOVE American Crime. Last season was spectacular. This season not as compelling but still really worth watching.
Past faves: Gilmore Girls, Parenthood, Friday Night Lights, Breaking Bad, Sopranos, and Columbo.
I usually fall out of love with a show long before it's off the air but seeing the goodbye shows is memorable. I loved the MASH ending. Re-runs are a good thing!
Hi, Judy! Am reposting here as something didn't go thru last week. I like NCIS, but don't often get to watch it. I understand about overpowering music. I quit watching two shows because the whole film was dark. I know the show had a dark tone, but as a viewer, I found it difficult to watch.
Hi, Judy! I shall miss The Good Wife too. What a great season.
Hi, Melissa! The ending of MASH was really good. Remember the stones spelling Goodbye as the helicopter lifted off?
