Handbag & Book with
Vicki Batman
Today, I have something quite different to show you handbag-wise. It's this:
Yup, my backpack.
I found it several years ago at an antique mall when #2 son was in Scouts and thought he would like it. The price was great, $6.00, not tons of pockets, roomy, great condition, heavy canvas.
He said...no.
I guess it didn't have the cool factor of his *day.* So I appropriated it for myself.
Handsome says it isn't great, but I love it. There's no digging through various pockets and zips for things like he does. (How many times has he lost his wallet??)
I can lash other things on it and the closure fits in two places. There are twill ties on the inside for closing as well. If ripped, it can be resewn (under certain conditions). And the roomie pocket on the front?? I stash my Kindle or a paperback there.
I usually take it when I travel on planes, and invariably, a guy behind me will comment on it. I'm guessing they don't see many women carrying Scout stuff. LOL.
Are you a backpack carrier?
Can you vote for Season of Surprises? The Season of Surprises anthology is in The Romance Reviews Readers Choice Awards.Ours is in the Anthology category. Here's the link and thank you! http://www.theromancereviews.com/bookvote.php

Looks like a great bag for traveling.
I would use that for traveling for sure! I don't use a backpack, but I have considered one.
Hi, Angela and Cathy! It is a good one for traveling. If I was into lashing stuff on, I'd even have more room. LOL. I did attach a pouch for receipts and band aids-hey, I'm prepared!!!
My husband would love it! He's a boy scout leader. I have a large computer bag that I use for traveling. My computer and all my other things fit in it. I'm a carry on girl for short trips and hate to have to check luggage.
I'm glad you have found something that works so well! Congrats!
Hi, Melissa! Amazingly, there are a few of these out there! I have two others. One seems to be sized smaller. Haven't tried it out. Thanks!
Hi Vicki, During my teaching years, I used a backpack when I taught in two different rooms. I would consider using one for a short trip. :)
I love the bag, Vicki! If you ever get tired of it, just pass it my way. :)
Hi, Karilyn! OMG, you like my bag???!!! I might be able to accommodate you. LOL
My daughter-in-law made me a backpack (it's a pretty one) and it's great for a one-day trip.
Hi, Joanne! That's a very good idea. Or a roller bag. LOL
Hi, Liz! I'm impressed your DIL MADE a backpack. I do have another one I really like that is more of a daypack. I sat behind a girl at RWA and had to have it.
