Several years ago, my sister, my youngest and I took a trip. We stopped at a gas station and picked up treats, specifically cherry sours. We stopped to tour something (can't remember), and because it was warm outside, #2 put them in the glove box. We returned to the car and #2 said, "Want a cherry sour? They're warm from being in my glove box."
Yea, he was quoting the girl on the bus at the end of Ferris Buehler's Day Off.
We took one and they were warm from being stored. For all these years, we have a running joke and buy each other cherry sours.
Recently, Handsome and I had to make a road trip, and yes, we stopped at a huge gas station and I picked up bags of the treat for #2 and my sister. When I gave them their present, my sister tore into her bag. Over the weekend, we snacked on the deliciousness. When it came time for #2 to leave, I said, "<his name>, take your candy home with you."
A pretty funny moment. I'm pretty sure I've never said those words to him before.
You know, I hope for the rest of our lives, the three of us trade our favorite candy and giggle as we remember that time we spent together.
What else is funny? My story "Raving Beauty" from the Just You and Me boxed set. What if the love of your life was in front of you all along?
It began innocently with a few margaritas… Kelly Stinson is persuaded to represent Yahoo! Ranch Steakhouse in the Chamber of Commerce’s beauty contest. After an unexpected swan dive off stage, her heart goes pitter patter over the orthopedic surgeon who repaired her ripped up ankle.
Daniel Ackerman has always had the hots for his twin sister’s best friend. Much to his dismay, her doctor has taken notice of the dark-haired beauty and invaded his territory. That’s about to change when he moves in to help Kelly recover physically and open her eyes to what’s been in front of her all along.

In answer to your question, "no." But whenever I see anything cherry, I'll think of you and this post (smile!).
Hi, Angela! I love this.
I don't remember that line from "Ferris Bueller." I have to watch it again now! Looking forward to the anthology!

Hi, Liese! She says it to the principal when he sits down next to her. She uses gummy bears, not cherry sours. LOL. Thank you! I'm really excited about the anthology.
What a cute post!
I love cherry sours...might have to run to the store LOL
Good luck and God's blessings

Hi, Pam! For a while, some company was churning out fruity ones, not sour ones. Imagine that! Thank you for stopping by.
Such a fun post. I remember sour ball candy as the one candy my grandpa always had. I can't eat it today without remembering him sharing the candy in his kitchen. :)
Hi, Melissa! What a lovely memory. Were they cherry sours or Brach's sour balls? My grandmother got the Brach white taffy with gummy bits in it. Loved those.
