TIME TO INDULGE - HOLIDAY MOVIES!
Hopefully, some of you will find time to indulge in holiday movies. To hold a special beverage and snack, snuggle on the couch (possibly with friend or family), and immerse.
I've already begun. Recently, I watched "The Shop Around the Corner," which became a mega hit with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan in "You've Got Mail." I found it interesting to hear some of the same dialogue lines and scenes.
I have others I watch. Here's my list and feel free to add to it:
"Star in the Night" - I highly recommend. Academy award-winning nativity story set in an auto-court. Available on Youtube.
"The Bishop's Wife" - Cary Grant.
"Charlie Brown Christmas" - who else cries during "Hark the Herald Angels Sing?"
"Rudolph, the Red-nosed Reindeer" - I am partial to the "Misfit" song.
"How the Grinch Stole Christmas" - The Grinch is nasty and gets a nasty song - "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" cause he's a nasty wasty skunk.
"Miracle on 34th Street" - I miss it not airing after Macy's Parade. And the cane scene at the end is priceless.
"Christmas in Connecticut" - Lots of lies twist up the heroine and unroll into romance. "I'm tired." LOL.
"White Christmas" - "Sisters" is a favorite song of me and my sisters. But the scene at the end when snow is falling and the cast is singing "White Christmas" - sob.
Like I said, please feel free to share your favorites!

Merry Christmas, & a Blessed, Prosperous and Happy New Year to you and yours

I'm all about the oldies but goodies - love watching The Bells of St. Mary's with Bing Crosby. Always laugh at the original Christmas in Connecticut with Barbara Stanwyck. Can't miss the Bishop's Wife with Cary Grant and my token modern movie is The Last Holiday with Queen Latifah because it may be newer but it reminds me of the way movies used to be made ! Merry Christmas!
Hi, Pam! A very Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Hi, Chris! I haven't watched The Bishop's Wife this year--yet. Christmas in Connecticut last night. I love movies. Hugs, vb
