.@VickiBatman - A painting turned #handbag? That's right! #fashion #accessories #MFRWorg #RLFblog

~Handbag Monday~

Today, I’m going to show off my Christmas gift to me. It’s from a shop called Swarm and is located overseas. I remember perusing a magazine and her handbags were featured. I thought this is way cool for, you see, the handbags are made from paintings.

So I splurged when an email came my way from Swarm with free shipping. Check this out:

Don’t you love this boat scene?

Who would have thought? The handles are sturdy leather and stitched and fastened with a grommet as well. The whole bag is lined in a sturdy white canvas. There is a good-sized pocket sewn in as well.

Although may be a bit large for everyday use, I am going to carry it for a while and test it out.

What do you think? Would you carry a handbag made from an old painting?

Love the painting on the bag. How original. You're carrying a piece of art.

I have one word to say about that bag -- "awesome!"

You know how I feel about handbags, but that is really neat. I might even be tempted if there were a Tim Cox or other western artist on it!

Although I hate carrying a hand bag, I always enjoy looking at your designs. My girls would love these.

I don't even carry handbags, but might have to make an exception for this one. I love it! What a great idea!!

Hi, D'Ann! Now that's a good thought, but you wouldn't want to tear up his painting. However, I bet there are some old westerns out there that could be made into a bag.

Hi, Rose! I had to carry a mombag for so long, I didn't really appreciate changing except for church or parties. Ooh, send your girls over to tell me what they think! Thanks for posting.

Hi, Karilyn! I am always amazed by those of you who don't carry a handbag. What do you put your things in? Your lipstick?????

A creative lady used her creativeness and figured out what she could do with it. I'm constantly amazed by people and their genius. Hugs!

I checked out the website. How interesting! I'm sure you will get a lot of compliments on it!

Hi, Melissa! I think her work is interesting. I only wish my bag was a big smaller, but haven't test driven it much to see for sure. Hugs.

Very original! More people can see it and enjoy it than if it were hung on a wall! You're now a walking museum!

I bet you get stopped a lot and asked where you got it from! It's delightful and so unique.

Hi, Liese! I hadn't thought about being a walking museum. That's pretty funny.

Hi, Susan! Yesterday at Sam's the cashier was scanning away and commented on the bag. It's so different from what one sees in a store. Thanks for posting.
