Handbag Monday
Hi,
Vicki, and thanks for having me on your blog. I'm happy you are here!
Vicki
and I have been friends for a very long time, have been writing buddies forever,
and we're fellow Plotting Princesses.
She's definitely the handbag queen.
Me—not so much. I'll carry around
the same purse forever before I'll switch it out for a new one. Plus I tend to carry a ton of stuff in mine,
so they always have to be big. After
all, I have to have my notebook and pen with me all the time. You never know
when inspiration will strike.
Oh Kathy! this is a very lovely bag! Good job!!
Spring
is in the air, and I love it. Nice cool
mornings with a hint of warmth in the afternoons. Watch the trees blossoming with flowers and
buds, and the flowerbeds with their riotous colors spilling forth. Spring always makes me think of new
beginnings.
That's
what I've had, a new beginning. Three
months ago I made a momentous decision to quit the day job and write full
time. Oh, wow, you have no idea the
gamut of emotions that race through you when contemplating something so enormous. Yet the biggest one was a sense of
renewal. I was starting out fresh,
paving a new beginning. Just like
springtime, I was bursting forth with new ideas and growing my fledgling
career. And what a relief it is to watch
the seeds (books) that I've planted come to fruition.
Spring
is here, and with it new beginnings and new opportunities to blossom and
grow. Personally, I'm going to sprinkle
the seeds of my writing, feed and care for it, and watch the words blossom and
flower and pour forth, so that I can bring to the readers the best fruits of my
labors. I hope you'll come and tend the
seeds with me.
I just released three new books in the New Orleans Connection Series, and I hope
you'll check them out. (P.S. Book one in
the series is currently FREE!) Below
is the link to my author page on Amazon.
Kathy
Ivan can be found every day writing with a bottle of water on one side and a
scented candle on the other, creating new stories in her New Orleans Connection
Series.

Lovely sentiment, Kathy. Congratulations on your new journey. It is glorious to take that first step on a new path. May you find adventure, love and all things good as you travel :)
Now, I can click and go see your page !!
Hi, Florence! If you like suspense, you will like Kathy's work. She is a sweetie. Thank you for stopping.
Hi Florence, and thanks for stopping by to visit with Vicki and I. It's an interesting journey, but I'm planning to enjoy every minute of it. And as long as people are reading, I'll be writing. Wishing you a Happy Spring!
So excited to see these books finally available Kathy - and I know now that you're writing full time we'll all be the ones rewarded with lots more fascinating Romantic Suspense! Go Girl! :)
Congratulations on this new and exciting adventure.
Oh, and I carry one purse until it falls apart. Since I only go to work, no need for any other purse.
Looking at those photos has me all anxious for Spring.
Hi, Eve! I'll take you on a date and you'll need a snazzy handbag! lol
Hi, Angela! I know, the spring pix are so pretty.
Hi, Kathy. That's a beautiful handbag. I'd like to have that one myself. I'm not the handbag aficionado Vicki is but I love my handbags and change them with the season.
Best of luck on your new adventure of being a full time author. I'm on my way to Amazon to get the first book in your series.
Thanks Chris, I'm writing as fast as I can. LOL
Hi Eva, thanks for stopping by. I just can't seem to make myself change out my purse all that often. I'll keep the same one for months before finally changing it.
Angela, I am so ready for Spring. This winter weather here has been mild but it will be three days cold, two days hot, three days rainy, two days sunny. Today it's in the 80s.
Hi Cara! Great to see you here. Thanks so much for grabbing book #1. I hope you love it. I'm having a ball writing this series.
Hi Kathy,
I love the bag, the pix of the flowers and all your books. Congrats on your releases!!! Here's to many, many sales, my friend.
Congrats Kathy! I went to part time this year because I needed more time for writing. I'm not a big purse person either but hubby insists that I change mine at least once a decade. Like you, mine needs room for everything I might want or need.
All the best.
