If it's fall, then the handbag colors of maroon, flaming orange, lovely browns, orangey red show up and for me, I picked an unusual red one:
I found this happy bag while on a conference spouse trip. It was on the very top shelf and the RED caught my eye, but then, red usually catches my eye. lol Aren't the handles delicious? Now, my one drawback to this one is I can't carry my needlepoint in it like I do in my Kate Spades. Granted those bags are larger. I moved everything over except the spare pair of glasses and I don't normally carry those and a red lipstick. The bag is pretty lightweight.
What kind of handles do you prefer for your handbags?

I do love the red handles as well as the print on your bag. I'm a purse fiend, myself. I don't have a preference on handles. I just pick up what strikes my fancy. I have small bags to very large bags.
The last bag I bought was tote-bag style, with a cat carrying a fish in it's mouth. It's cuter than it sounds, trust me.
Hi, Lori! and thanks for visiting me today. I am always surprised about what strikes my fancy too. A while back, I featured a green Kate Spade. I'd never bought a grass green bag before, but I get compliments all the time. Just last week at the salon.
I bet your tote is adorable!
The red does catch your eyes. I like the pattern too. I have to be careful with handles since the cat likes to chew on them. So purses either get put up or they have to not be appealing to the furball!
When I saw the photo, the first thought I had was if the bag was a little bigger, it would make a great tote bag.
Love the red handles and the eye-catching print. I prefer a shoulder strap - frees me up!
