Craft and Book w @VickiBatman #crafting #Christmasgifts #MFRWorg #Rssosisters

Craft and Book with Vicki

Every year, I make something for my daughter in law and friends for Christmas. This year, I embroidered holiday aprons.

This is an easy craft. I bought plain white aprons from Joann's, stamped a holiday saying on the bib, embroidered in fun colors, and added large rick-rack.

This one with Seasons Greetings I stitched in blue with silver rick rack. Because the transfer was vintage, I penciled in lettering in some places.

I found the Christmas greetings transfer in eBay. It is vintage and took a little extra heat to transfer, but well worth it.

And the finale...

I'm really pleased with how they turned out and my friends "say" they like them.

Do you make gifts for friends and family?

In my holiday story, "The Littlest Angel," from the Season of Promises anthology, I talk about an ornament my neighbor gave my mom. You can find a copy at: Amazon B&N Kobo iTunes

I'll take one in purple. :-) Nicely done, Vicki! Certainly a keepsake to cherish.

Thank you, JM. When my grandmother passed, I got back one I'd made for her years ago. And then after my mom last year, I got another. Happy holidays!

My mom was very crafty. She made a Tic-Tac-Toe pillow that was really adorable. It had little pillows you used to play. They attached wtih velcro. She'd cross-sticked it so cute. Mine accidentally went in a box to Goodwill a couple years ago. I've been upset about it since. Happy holiday to you too!

What an adorable pillow, JM. I know you are heartbroken over losing the pillow. I would be too.

Awesome, Vicki! My grandmother, who loved to knit, always gave away creative goodies during the holiday season, birthdays, and baby showers.

Hi, Karilyn! I was a lucky 9 year old when my grandmother sat me down and taught me embroidery. Happy holidays!

Hi, Angela! What a nice grandmother you have. I hope you still can use what she gave you. I have tatting on pillowcases done by grandmother and embroidery by moi. Hugs!

Hi, Melissa! That's why I started in January. I might be insane, but I had the thought of doing this and it worked. Now, I have a thought for next year. hehehe.
