Handbag & Book - So Long. Farewell. Weeding my #handbags #accessories #designerhandbags #comingsoon
Okay. Don't have a heart attack. What I'm about to tell you is...shocking.
You know I love handbags. A LOT. I had just bought two pairs of shoes and when storing them on my shelf, I looked long and hard at the handbags. Time to say goodbye. Here's a pix:
My criteria for deleting--not using in a lot of years. Starting left:
Red paisley - bought in San Francisco. Loved the red handle.
Large red with cutout handle - Not my style any more.
Small navy clutch-Hard to toss as Handsome had given it to me. Don't carry any more.
Italian silk evening bag-This one is adorable for evening. Paid $3.00.
Paisley needlepoint - small
Red leather with bamboo handle-handmade. Never was that wowed except when I bought it.
Woven basket-From Puerto Rico. Everything fell out.
Red silk-with handmade glass ornament.
Large needlepoint - I have one I like better
Blue green needlepoint - not really needlepoint, although it is so cute
Red basket. Cost six dollars. Fun for a while.
Any I SHOULD keep?

Gosh. Hard to decide. Maybe the one handsome gave you? But if you don't use it, probably best to pass it on...
Liese
Hi, Liese! It was a hard call, but yes, had to let go of even the one he gave me. I'll have him give me a new one.
Oh NO -but I suppose - several years 'is' a criteria.
We should give them a farewell party :)
I do that with clothes all the time. Sadly there are some with tags still on them. What was I thinking?? Well, I thought they were cute at the time. At least now you have some room for NEW bags, right?? Gotta look on the bright side!
Hi Chris! They're in a laundry basket and stare at me every time I go in my office. LOL
Hi, Melissa! I think my problem was I had bought a bunch of new ones and ran out of room. LOLOLOL A few more won't hurt either.
Well, I'm the queen of tossing things I no longer use. So I say, let them go. But I'd love to come to the farewell party.
Gee...it would be like asking me which of my favorite books I should give away!
Funny, I was actually thinking the same thing of my handbag collection, but I thought "what would Vicki do?"
I'm a minimalist and like to purge...purge...purge! But on the other hand, some of those purses are so lovely.
HI, Karen! That is funny. Send me a pix of those you are weeding. I'd like to see what's up.
Hi, Joanne! I purge and then build back up. Sigh. I only have keeper books now, not all of the ones that have passed through my hands and that is five book shelves. I'm sure I could let go of a few more bags. I try that if I buy one, I toss one theory. LOL.
