.@VickiBatman - #Easy Peasy Recipes: a refreshing summer drink: Almond Tea #MFRWorg #RLFblog

The first Sunday class Handsome and I belonged to hosted retreats and one of the members brought:

Almond Tea
2 C water

3 tea bags
4 C water
10 T lemon juice
1 C sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp almond extract

Boil 2 cups water and steep 3 tea bags for 10 minutes in the hot water. Boil 4 cups water with 1 cup sugar for 5 minutes. Add this sugary mix to the tea mix. Stir. Add lemon juice, vanilla and almond extracts. Stir. Chill. Serve in a tall glass over ice.

You can cut the sugar a bit.

My friend and I often go to Shakespeare in the Park and I always ask for this drink. Enjoy!

Hi, Sandy! I'm not a tea drinker at all, but love this one. At least 3 glasses. LOL. Thank you for visiting with me. Hugs.

Vicki, I really like my tea, but I don't like lemon in my tea at all. Will leaving that ingredient change the taste of the almond flavor?

Hi, Phyllis! I don't know if it will; however, all the ingredients really compliment each other. The almond taste is definitely there. Give it a try and let me know.

Sound delicious!

Hi, Lani and Janie! It is delicious. Remember, you can adjust the sugar for taste. I don't know about using sweetner substitutes. Happy fourth!

The recommendation that you aren't a tea drinker but like it, makes me want to try it! I don't drink tea, either. :) Sounds wonderful though.

Hi, Angela! Let me know what you think.

Hi, Melissa! I grew up on sweet tea and cannot stand it, haven't since high school. I think it is the other flavorings which make it delicious. Hugs!
