Travel and Book with Iris Blobel #NewZealand #dreamvacation #RLFBlog

Travel and Book with
Iris Blobel

Thank you, Vicki, for having me on your blog. I like the idea of talking about our travels, especially when I booked a flight to NZ only ten minutes ago. We’re really looking forward to visiting this wonderful country again.

Crater Lake
I have to say, I am very blessed with a husband who loves travelling just as much as I do … and fortunately, so do my girls. With my family living in Germany, we have been to Europe a couple of times, but I think our favourite travels have been our trip to the USA, where we drove through five states in four weeks, and our trip to the south island of NZ.
Queenstown, NZ

All my travels end up in a book in some ways. Fresh Beginnings (which will be released later this year) follows our itinerary in the US. My current WIP includes my experience in NZ. A few years ago, I spent a long weekend in Hobart, the capital of Tasmania – this is when I came up with the Beginnings series, of which MORE BEGINNINGS is the second book.

Flinders Ranges

I love travelling, and now that I have finished with all the medical care, we can be found on the road again – next stop: Adelaide in beautiful South Australia. So many wonderful places in this world, which I want to see.

Zach Taylor, an escort in Sydney, living in Hobart, enlists the help of Natasha Peterson when his teenage friend, Mia, runs away. And although Natasha is attracted to him as well, she has her own problems to deal with, not to mention her initial reaction to Zach's occupation.

Mia hurried down the streets with tears streaming down her cheeks. With no idea where to go, she ran on automatic until she came to the marina. Out of breath, she walked the last little bit right up to the water and inhaled a couple of times to clear her mind. From the first time Sophie had brought her down to the harbour, she’d loved this place. It was always busy with people walking everywhere, tourists taking photos, and the seagulls eagerly trying to pinch one of their chips. But it was a relaxing place to her — and home. There were yachts everywhere, and she knew the Salamanca Markets would be very busy that morning.

Mia looked around, taking everything in as if she’d been there for the first time. That was when she remembered why she was there. Making her dizzy, everything that had been said the previous hour caught up with her, and it was so confusing.

She had a dad.

My husband and I love camping. We have a small travel trailer and have been all over Michigan. We've also enjoyed renting cabins in Tennessee and Southern Ohio, where they have caves and waterfalls. Congrats on your latest release! I love the cover and excerpt!

Hi, Melissa! I would love to have a little camper to take places, but I don't want to cook. Maybe cereal and sandwiches. LOL

Thanks for stopping by, Melissa. I'd love to travel more in the US, and a motorhome or travel trailer seems perfect.

Vicki - LOL re the cooking. There's an saying here in Australia "Just throw it on the barbie" and that's basically what we do :-) Easy!
