This is my post-COVID handbag. Just prior to the pandemic, The Today Show had a “Steals and Deals” offer that included Kate Spade. I really wanted the gray and beige, but they went fast! In the end, I choose this maroon and beige, which I think is even prettier. I never buy actual designer bags (I do have Prada and Louis Vuitton knock-offs purchased on the streets of various cities, but that’s another story) and decided to splurge on a new Kate Spade wallet to go with it.

They arrived in early March—just as we were getting warnings about going out and talks of lock-downs. At that time, my husband, who meets several of the high-risk criteria, and I determined that until we get the “all clear” call, we’re staying put. So, I stored my new handbag away until then. I might have hair down to my waist (after a disastrous attempt to cut my bangs in the seventh grade, I vowed “never again” to cut it myself), but I’ll look great with this bag on my arm!
